Greenwich in Bloom 2023 winners

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has held its annual Greenwich in Bloom competition which this year was sponsored by Thompson’s Garden Centre for the 2nd year.

Local people from around the borough have been working hard on their gardens with the hope of winning a prestigious award in a number of gardening categories which were:

• Front Garden

• Back Garden

• Containers

• Communal Garden

• Junior Gardener

The entries were assessed by independent judges Mayor, Cllr Dominic Mbang and Cabinet Member for Equality, Culture and Communities, Cllr Adel Khaireh and on Monday 2nd October, the winners were invited to a prize giving ceremony at the Mayors parlour in Woolwich. Thompson’s were lucky enough to be invited along as well, so that we could present Thompson’s Garden Centre Gift vouchers to the winners.

There really were some fantastic gardens entered into the competition, and the residents of Greenwich definitely showcased their skills as amateur gardeners. If you watch the slideshow below you can see for yourselves all of the winning gardens!
