Award Winning Garden Centre 2025
Best Plant Area - 3 Years Running!
We have won an award for the Best Plant Area 2025 Local Garden Centre, South Thames category of the Garden Centre Association. That's 3 years in a row! Well done to all the staff who continue to work incredibly hard to make our plant area look amazing!
Our Plant Area is now entered into the National final where the top 10 garden centres in the country get inspected again to determine the overall winner. Fingers Crossed!
National Award - Best Plant Area 2024
Having got through to the National finals, we are delighted to announce we have won the award for the best Plant Area in the Local Garden Centre category of the Garden Centre Association. This national award means we beat competition from all over the country to land this coveted prize.

Meet Thompson's Welling's Manager
Paul has worked for Thompson’s for 10 years now and has close to 40 years experience in the gardening industry, with a wide knowledge of all things plants. He first started at Thompson's Petham where he was a plant manager before progressing to our Chislehurst garden centre in the same role. Paul took on the plant area manager role at our Welling garden centre in 2019 before progressing to the general manger role in 2025
