Commonly known as Japanese quince, Knap Hill Scarlet is a deciduous, vigorous spreading, thorny shrub, bearing glossy leaves and clusters of bright orange/scarlet flowers in Spring, followed by edible green/yellow fruits. For best flowering and fruit, grow in full sun, but can be grown in part shaded areas of your garden, whilst it can also be trained against a wall.
