Mint Apple

Well-known herb noted for its fine flavour. Used for traditional mint sauce served with lamb. Can be chopped and sprinkled over vegetables or used in mint teas. Height 45-90cm ( 18-36 ), Spread - indefinite!

Mint Basil

A juicy aromatic mint with mauve flowers. A fully hardy variety the leaves are used in tomato and pasta dishes. Offers the summery taste of basil in spring! Ideal for tubs and pots. Height approx up to 60cm or 2ft.

Mint Black Peppermint

A highly aromatic perennial with very attractive dark purple stems. Adds flavour to sweets and cakes. Leaves may be added to summer drinks and used to make tea. Peppermint oil is widely used in confectionary.

Mint Eau De Cologne

A perennial with bronze green sweet smelling leaves good for making potpourri. Used for refreshing teas and vinegars. Add to fruit salad, orange and mint jelly. Mauve flowers. Ideal for pots and tubs. Height approx up to 4ft.

Mint Emperors

All mints prefer a cool, moist spot in partial shade but will also grow in full sun. The leaves have a pleasant warm, fresh aromatic flavour with a cool aftertaste. Ideal for containers.

Mint Garden

A very well-known perennial herb with bright hairless leaves and long spikes of lilac flowers. Used to make mint sauce, adds flavour to potatoes, peas, carrots, green beans and parsnips. Height approx up to 60cm. Ideal for pots or tubs.

Mint Ginger

Golden variegated leaves with a slight ginger scent. Prefers moist soil in full sun or partial shade. Use chopped in salads, fruit salads and summer drinks. Will produce flowers in late summer. Height approx up to 30cm (12in)

Lemon Mint

A herbaceous perennial with a fresh lemon and mint scent. Leaves may be used for potpourri. Will thrive in any moist soil in sun or partial shade. Used for refreshing teas and vinegars. Height approx 45cm (18in). Also ornamental.

Mint Pineapple

An attractive cream variegated form of apple mint with slight pineapple scent. Leaves can be chopped into salads, fruit salads and summer drinks. Also makes superb groundcover. Height approx 30 - 60 in ( 1 - 2ft )

Mint Russian

The leaves of this evergreen variety of mint have one of the best and strongest flavours of all the mints. Easy to grow in either sun or partial shade. Produces attractive purple flowers and grows to a height of app 50cm.

Mint Green

Sprigs of mint are added to the water when new potatoes and peas are boiled, but its most popular use is as the basic ingredient in mint sauce served with roast lamb.

Nepeta Catmint

It is an extremely easy growing plant with few pests or problems. The billowing foliage is topped with spikes of flowers in early summer with repeat blooms throughout the season.

Nepeta Catnep

A perennial with greyish green nettle-like leaves and tiny pink-tinged flowers. Attractive to bees and much loved by cats.

Oregano

Oregano is much like Marjoram only more pungent and not so sweet. A traditional herb in Italy and around the Mediterranean in general. The leaves are used fresh in a wide selection of cuisine - Pasta sauces, pizzas, pork, potatoes.
